ISTANBUL (TR) - Mars Logistics plans to provide services to sectors such as cosmetics, chemicals and pharmaceuticals with the Flammable Warehouse, which has a special fire and protection mechanism where hazardous substances, which are within the scope of EK62 according to the Customs Regulation, have chemical properties and have the potential to harm people and the environment, with their new investment. Speaking about the details of the investment, Mars Logistics Supply Chain Management General Manager Mithat Sahillioğlu emphasized that the hazardous material storage process is a very sensitive and demanding service and said, “The cargoes under ADR should be stored in special areas with high equipment, depending on the nature of the chemical and in flammable warehouses. must be stored.”

The aim is to accelerate transportation

Stating that customers can unload both their flammable cargo and their normal cargo that does not carry this risk in one location, Sahillioğlu explained the reasons for adding a flammable warehouse to the Hadımköy Logistics Center and said: “The biggest reason we put our flammable warehouse into operation is that we want to save time for our customers. Import vehicles with loads under ADR first go to flammable warehouses and unload these loads, then come to our warehouse and download normal loads. These operations caused a great waste of time. In addition, there could be a risk of damage and loss due to the fact that loads were lowered and reloaded from the vehicle. In order to avoid all these problems, our customers will be able to unload their loads faster, import them faster and receive services from a single company thanks to the flammable warehouse we have integrated in Hadımköy Logistics Center.”

Mars Logistics plans to open a new flammable warehouse connected to Ambarlı Customs within Hadimköy Logistics Center and a flammable warehouse connected to Erenköy Customs in Tuzla Logistics Center, apart from the flammable warehouse in Hadimköy Logistics Center connected to Muratbey Customs.
