While the ever-growing global indoor market is expected to exceed $135 billion in 2028, the perception of good design is changing day by day. Consumers prefer sustainable, functional and comfortable design products more.

The interior industry is growing day by day. According to the data shared by Gitnux, the global market is expected to reach $135.1 billion, with an average growth of 3.3% each year until 2028. With the rapid growth of the industry, different trends regarding interiors emerge, and the latest surveys show that 69% of consumers want to feel safe while at home, and 56% think that good design means creating comfortable and cozy spaces. The rapid spread of this design approach is shaping the production of brands operating in different fields, from home decoration to sanitary ware.

Görkem Helvacıoğlu, Marketing Manager of Seramiksan, a manufacturer of tile, sanitary ware and construction chemicals that transforms homes into both sustainable and comfortable spaces with the motto of "Everyone's Right to Good Design"; evaluated the trends in the world of decoration and design with the following words:  We have been bringing Turkey and the world together with good design for more than 30 years. We believe that good design meets the needs and expectations of the user, makes life easier and more enjoyable and provides a more positive experience. We believe that a good design should be user-friendly, innovative, responsible for the world and accessible, with our motto "Everyone's Right to Good Design".

In the past, design meant creating a holism in space, starting from an object. The fact that today's consumers are now becoming conscious users shows that this criterion is not sufficient to qualify the design as good. When we say perfect design, sustainability, functionality and comfort conditions are sought in each of the products. As Seramiksan, we believe that the key to competition and differentiation is good design.
Considering that everyone deserves a well-designed product, today we offer our customers our quality products that appeal to every style, accessible to everyone, with 240 stores in 76 cities, over 1000 sub-dealers and our export network covering more than 60 countries.

“Everyone has an equal responsibility in creating a good design”

Görkem Helvacıoğlu, who stated that not only the designer but also everyone from the manufacturer to the architects have equal responsibility in the creation of a good design, said, “The perception of design gains a different dimension every day. That's why we are at the Good Life Talks event with Seramiksan, which we held in our Galata Yapi showroom in Istanbul recently. Based on our #iyiTasarımıHerkesinHakkı (good design is everyone’s right) motto, we met with experienced architects and interior designers and had a productive and pleasant conversation on good design. We asked them what good design is. As part of the Good Life Talks event, we will continue to hold inspiring meetings with industry professionals on good design and the good life.

“A perfect design goes through both sustainability and functionality”

Seramiksan Marketing Manager Görkem Helvacıoğlu said, “50% of the architects pointed out that a good design should have functional and sustainable features, while the other half stated that aesthetics come to the fore and the design differs from person to person.”
